Residency 'Board and Train' Program

Consistency and repetition is critical when it comes to creating solid and healthy habits for your pup. With this Board and Train program, your dog will live in my home and practice your custom program 24/7 while engaging in everyday activities that you would normally do. This way, your dog can apply what he/she will learn in the most practical and realistic way possible and develop a routine based around your life.

The boarding program is high in demand and limited in availability. I am not a boarding facility and do not operate a kennel of any kind. Your dog will have a bed/crate of their own and either work solo or in tandem with my own dog. I only board two dogs at a time. This is a key component to the level of professionalism and dedication I have to making sure your dog succeeds. I want to make sure that your pup has my undivided attention and time throughout the day for their training. During their stay, they will reside in a clean, climate controlled home specifically outfitted for dogs. We exercise indoors, and outdoors, visit local pet-friendly public areas, and are practicing their program throughout the entire day with short intervals for rest and naps.

This program is for serious dog owners and will fast forward your dogs training while giving you a break. I will provide regular updates, pictures, and videos of your dogs progress while they are with me. Each program is unique to the dog. This means that we will come up with a custom program plan for your dog and the program dictates how long it will take to achieve those results. The time of the stay is typically around 3 weeks at which point I will return your dog and provide a 'go-home' lesson that will cover everything that was learned. After your program, you will have a lifetime access to me for questions or concerns related to their training and maintenance.

I'll work through the initial leg work of your dogs training and then provide you with the blueprints to maintain the behavior.

Being able to spend more time with your dog allows me an in-depth view of how and when certain behaviors play out. I'll be able to cater their day and program style to suit their personalities better as well as develop methods that will work better within your home. This benefit is so valuable with nervous or anxious dogs.

Puppy Camp

The early months of a dogs life are the most formative when it comes to the behavior, habits, and personality of your dog. Within this program we solidify the 6 basic commands that most other behaviors are built upon: Sit, Stay, Down, Heel, Come, and Leave it. These are mostly done through games and fun activities so that the association with training is kept in a positive light. This is generally done within a 3-4 week time span.

Its also important to expose your puppy early on to physical handling and situations that it will encounter throughout its life. Within all of our training lessons, we will also work on confidence building, resource gaurding, walking on all terrains, social behavior, housebreaking, and eliminating puppy biting.

This program is generally for puppies under 6 months of age.

Foundational Obedience

The aim for this program is to create a solid starting point for your dogs behavior, and transform them into a well mannered, calm, and obedient dog that you can take with you everywhere. I work with your dog to make sure they have the foundational 6 basic commands solidified, then move to working them in various environments.

Ideally, we want your dog to be able to revolve its life around you - not the other way around. Some common behaviors we will work on that take place in everyday life are leash pulling, counter surfing, mouthing, jumping, destructive behaviors, whining, and obsessive barking.

I'll also work with your dog at pet stores, home improvement stores, coffee shops, sidewalk walking, recall, visiting a guests house, social behavior, and more. This program is ideal for those who want a well behaved dog while visiting your families home, during hikes, outings and having guests over.

Advanced Obedience

If you're ready to take your training to the next level and give your dog more opportunities, freedom, and added sense of autonomy, then this program is for you.

This program offers training in:

Off-Leash: Whether you're swimming, hiking, walking, or just want to be able to take your dog to a feild and let it run without a tether, we will work on being able to recall from a large distance, impulsivity control, operating with distractions, and having a solid "stay" command even when you are not in sight.
Scentwork: Every dog has a powerful tool at their disposal that is critically underused - their sense of smell. Learning how to track is a fun and engaging scent-work activity that works the dogs innate ability and mind. By the end of this training, the goal will be to find an object or person from 300 feet away.
Anxiety: We don't always know the cause of a pup's nervousness, but with the right kind of patience and exposure, there's always a way to work through it. It can be car rides, door knocking, dogs walking on the street, leashes, etc. I'll work with your dog to lessen and ideally turn your dogs phobia trigger into a calm/fun experience.
